15th Annual Barnyard Days Benefits BCFO

SPRINGFIELD, MO. – Barnyard Days will be held May 6, 7, and 8 this year as a benefit to Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks (BCFO). In 2010, Steve and Tammy Roark generously donated the event to BCFO. Barnyard Days is a family festival with a juried arts and crafts core.

This year’s highlights include a pottery demonstration at 1:00 on Friday with local artist Sue Colgin, a healthy cooking demonstration by renowned chef James Clary of Price Cutter on Saturday at 1:00 and “Grass Station Band” will give a bluegrass performance on Sunday at 3:00. Attendees will continue to enjoy the children’s train ride, horseback rides, archery and an antique tractor demonstration.

Attendees can purchase a chance to win a 2011 Ford Mustang for $25 (only 5,000 available) as part of the Price Cutter Children’s Charity Championship held in August or a $5 chance to win a pink go cart donated by Powersports of Joplin. The winner of the go cart will be drawn on Sunday at 4:00. Both vehicles will be on site for the duration of the event.

Admission to Barnyard Days is $5 for adults with a $1 off coupon available at local Price Cutter’s, Bordertown Casino and Bingo, and Powersports of Joplin. Price Cutter will have advance tickets available for purchase. Children 14 and under get in free with an adult.
