Ken Yoffe and Ellen Weisberg Books
Ken Yoffe and Ellen Weisberg adopted their daughter, Emily, from Chongqing, China at the age of 11 months. In honor of Emily, they co-authored and illustrated a children’s geography book entitled “All Across China” (Chipmunkapublishing, 2009). The book was also written in memory of one of the mothers in their adoption group, who passed away at the age of 39 from breast cancer. Their friend, as well as others close to them who died from the disease, inspired Ken and Ellen to donate the personal proceeds for “All Across China” to breast cancer research, support, and awareness. They are also committed to doing the same with the personal proceeds for Ellen’s young adult novel, “Gathering Roses” (Chipmunkapublishing, 2007) and Ken and Ellen’s children’s geography book, “All Across Canada” (Chipmunkapublishing, 2008). In addition, a portion of personal proceeds are going toward heart disease research and Parkinson’s and dystonia research. For more information or to purchase these books, all of which are being sold at a discount on their authors’ website, please visit www.weisberg-yoffe.org .
