Board of Directors


Brian Biggers, M.D.

Dr. Biggers is a surgeon with Crighton, Olive, and Dunn Surgical Group. He received his medical degree at Universtiy of Missouri Medical School and completed his residency at University of Missouri-Kansas City. He went on to continue specialized training at Baylor University Medical Center in breast surgical oncology. In addition, Dr. Biggers has participated in medical research projects and written various published studies.


John Bumberry, M.D.

Dr. Bumberry completed his residency at Henry Ford Health Systems in Detroit, Michigan. He is a member of the Fellow American College of Surgeons. Dr. Bumberry is a physician at Mercy’s Clinic-General & Specialty Surgery. His specialty is general and trauma surgery in which he is board certified in general surgery.


Dan Cobb

Dan Cobb is the chief technology officer and one of the founders and a partner in HealthMEDX. Dan has more than 25 years experience in the extended care information systems business. Dan is recognized for product innovation, research and development. His technical expertise is applied to the HealthMEDX Vision solution and advancing the product roadmap accordingly.

Dan is President of the National Association for the Support of Long Term Care (NASL), co-chairing the Long-Term and Post-Acute Care (LTPAC) workgroup for the Certification Commission for Health IT (CCHIT) and is an executive council member for the Mid America Technology Alliance. Dan is a 1984 graduate of Missouri State University, with a B.S. degree in computer information systems.


Laura Greene

Laura Greene is an associate for Hush Blackwell and counsels corporate clients on contract disputes, employment matters and liability defense. She has an active trial practice that includes representation of private and public small businesses, banks, and Fortune 500 companies in state and federal court. Laura also advises individuals on real estate disputes, including land use and development and serves as a medical practice consultant on compliance and employment issues.

Prior to joining the firm, Laura developed a private consulting business with national clientele focused on business marketing and physician practice group management. After her judicial clerkship, she worked in the legal publishing industry and then served in private practice in a Boston firm with a focus on real estate litigation. Laura is a member of the American Health Lawyer’s Association, The Missouri Bar, and the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association. She has also been recognized in Missouri Lawyers Weekly for obtaining one of the top ten 2010 civil defense verdicts in the state of Missouri.


David Hart

David Hart is a life- long Springfield resident and community volunteer. Previously, he spent 27 years as the Administrator for Oncology-Hematology Associates of Springfield, where he learned from, and worked with persons directly impacted by the multiple negative effects resulting from Breast Cancer.


Kevin Hogan

Kevin Hogan is the Senior Manager at The Whitlock Company. Kevin graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.S. in Accounting and Business and a Master’s of Business Administration, he then went on to receive his Master’s in Accounting from Northern Illinois University. Kevin is involved in Leadership Springfield and is a Springfield Greene County Park Board Member. He is also a member of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA), Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA), Certified Management Accountants (CMA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).


Roger Holden, M.D.

Dr. V. Roger Holden is an oncologist with Mercy Clinic Cancer & Hematology.  He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center along with his PhD in microbiology and immunology.  Dr. Holden is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology.  Dr. Holden has participated in several research projects and written several articles and publications.


Gary Hoos, M.D.

Dr. Hoos completed his residency and fellowship with the University of Oklahoma. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Hoos is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. His specialty is Cancer and Hematology. Dr. Hoos is a physician at Mercy’s Clinic-Cancer & Hematology.


Gordon Kinne

Gordon Kinne is the President/Owner of Med-Pay, Inc., a third party administrator firm involved in employee benefit administration. Gordon attended Missouri Western State University and graduated with a B.S. from Missouri State University in 1975. He is involved in the Life Underwriters Association, Society of Professional Benefits Administrators (SPBA), and the Self Insurance Institute of America (SIIA). He is also the current chairman for the 7th District Congressional Republican Committee. Gordon is a pilot and avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting and fishing on his family’s farm in Hamilton, Missouri.


Lauren Lipscomb

Lauren Lipscomb is a graduate assistant at Drury University. She has completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Environmental Sciences at University of Missouri and is in the process of completing a master’s degree in special education at Drury University. Lauren is involved in the International Student Program at the university. She is involved in the Boys and Girls Club of Springfield and the First and Calvary Presbyterian Church. Lauren enjoys working with children, exercise and spending time with family and friends.


Linda McAllister

Linda has a background in education. She is a full-time Community Volunteer. Linda has been involved in Junior League of Springfield, Isabel’s House, Special Olympics, Springfield Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Springfield and MDA-Festival of Hope. Linda enjoys traveling, reading and gardening.


Brian McCracken

Brian is a portfolio manager at Pinnacle Family Advisors. Brian’s primary focus is on managing a total return investment portfolio for his clients. Prior to joining Pinnacle Family Advisors, Brian worked for Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch as a Vice President, Financial Advisor. Prior to entering the financial service industry, Brian was a CPA with Ernst & Young in Kansas City. Brian graduated from Drury University with a double major in accounting and business administration. Brian is married to Kelly and has two daughters and one son. In his spare time Brian enjoys just about anything outdoors.

Brian has been involved with BCFO since 2003. Brian is currently President and serves on the investment committee.


Wayne Morelock


Debi Murray Bennett

Debi is a Realtor with Murney Associates, The Office of Patrick Murney. She obtained her Missouri Salesperson License in 1995 and continued her focus in the Buyer Specialist area. Debi has multiple recognition awards of service from the Ozark Empire Fair Board of Directors;Vendor of the Year, Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield. She has also has served on the Ozark Empire Fair Board of Directors and Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield Charitable Foundation Board. She is a member of Second Baptist church where she works with special needs children through MOPS. She is the proud mother of two children and enjoys biking and walking.


Charlie O'Reilly

Charlie O’Reilly

Charlie is Vice-Chairman of O’Reilly Auto Parts and has been with the company for 39 years when he retired in 2002. When he joined the family business, it consisted of one location in Springfield, Missouri. O’Reilly Automotive, Inc., is now a public company with 4000 locations in 42 states and employs approximately 53,000 team members. He has been involved with many charitable organizations over the years, serving as Chairman of United Way of the Ozarks, President of the Community Partnership of the Ozarks, and many other charitable organizations. Charlie is married to Mary Beth, founder of the Breast Cancer Foundation Of The Ozarks. They have three children; Pat is a developer in Springfield, MO, Tim is an attorney in Springfield, MO and Ryan is a published author and is a pilot for OzAir in Springfield, Mo.


Ryan O’Reilly

Ryan O’Reilly, son of Mary Beth and Charlie O’Reilly, founders of the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks, is the author of the travel novel Snapshot, and a free-lance contributor to various newspapers and periodicals throughout the country. He studied English Literature at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri and is a member of the National Writers Association and the Writers League of Texas. Ryan divides his time between his business in Austin, Texas and a small farm in Clever, Missouri.


Dwight Rahmeyer

Dwight is the CEO and Senior Trust Counsel of Trust Company of the Ozarks. He holds a Juris Doctor degree from Washburn University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from the University of Missouri. Dwight is a member of the Missouri Bar, a director of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association, and is past chairman of its Probate and Trust and In-House Counsel Committees. Dwight is also a member and past president of the Greene County Estate Planning Council and serves on the Acceptance/Legal Committee of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.


Steve Roark25

Steve Roark

Steve Roark is the president of Circle R Enterprises, Inc., a commercial livestock cooperation in southwest Missouri that specializes in farming operation and real estate management. Steve’s family created Barnyard Days which is an arts and crafts festival that resembles an old fashioned county fair. This event has been used as a fundraising vehicle for local charities and has been a significant fundraising event for BCFO since 2008.

Steve received his B.S and master’s in Accounting from the University of Tulsa and served in the USAF Air Training Command as a ICBM Minuteman launch control officer. He then went on to fulfill his Ph.D. in Accounting at Arizona State University in 1986.

Steve has received numerous farming, conservation, and good business practice awards and recognitions. He has served as the Newton County Tourism Council president since 2005 and is a Neosho Transportation Development District board member and officer. In his spare time he enjoys bird hunting, shooting sports, gun collecting, wildlife development, traveling in his motor home and being around his livestock and pets.

Richard “Rick” Williams

Rick studied healthcare administration at St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX. He also served as a medic in the Army Green Berets. He previously worked as the CEO and co-owner of Community Hospices of America until his early retirement in 2004. During that period, he was a regular contributor to numerous health and management publications and served on numerous Missouri and national policy boards. He currently serves on several local director boards and volunteers regularly with the Kiwanis Club. In 2005, Rick formed the SafeSpace Company which develops and markets unique disinfecting and sanitizing products nationally. He enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing, traveling, and riding his Harley.


Paul Windisch

Paul’s education is in Communications, Marketing and Journalism. He is currently the General Manager of FOX KRBK-TV, the Springfield, MO FOX television affiliate. Paul oversees all departments at the television station. He previously spent 16 years in the radio industry in the Springfield Market. Paul has served on several other boards and been actively engaged in this community. Through his media and personal work, he has been involved with Ozarks Food Harvest, Big Brothers Big Sisters, United Way, Toys for Tots, MDA, Cents of Pride, Operation US, Ronald McDonald House, and more. Paul enjoys boating, fitness and sports.

Mary Beth O’Reilly
Founder & Chairman

 

Mary Beth is the Founder of the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks. She has a healthcare background having worked at St. John’s Health System, Community Hospices of America and Oxford Health Care. Mary Beth is a long standing community volunteer serving on various local and state boards. She started the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks in 1999 after being inspired by the story of her friend, Kristen O’Brien Hardy.

Mary Beth continues to provide help and hope to local families impacted by breast cancer through her organization. Mary Beth is a breast cancer survivor and more recently has survived primary lung cancer.


Gary Metzger
President

 

Gary is the President and CEO of Liberty Bank in Springfield. He received his bachelor’s degree in Economics from MacMurray College and his master’s degree from Western Illinois University. Gary has attended various banking schools and has received a variety of banking awards and recognitions. He is serving as an advisory director for the Federal Reserve 8th District. His community involvement includes St. Vincent De Paul Society, The Kitchen and the Boys and Girls Town. Gary enjoys boating, fishing and golf in his spare time.


B.J. Joplin
President Elect

Benjamin “B.J.” Joplin, Esq., is President of Gibson & Associates Professional Claims Management, Inc. Gibson & Associates is an independent adjustment and third-party administration firm based in Springfield, MO. Gibson specializes in property and casualty, and professional indemnity claims administration and litigation management for the Excess and Surplus market, primarily for Lloyd’s of London.  Before joining Gibson & Associates, B.J. practiced with Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin, LLC, (now known as Husch Blackwell, LLC), in the firm’s litigation department.

B.J. received both his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri.  He bleeds Black and Gold.

B.J. is married to Missi Joplin and has three beautiful and busy daughters.  In his spare time, what little exists, he can be found spectating at his children’s activities, chasing a little white ball around a great big field, trying to propel himself up steep Ozarks’ hills on a bike, pulling inflated toys around the lake, or chasing God’s little creatures through the air and forests only to shoot them.


Gary Schafer, Secretary

Gary Schafer is a partner at BKD, LLP in the Manufacturing & Distribution Group and the retail and business services team. Gary has 15 years of experience providing audit and advisory services to manufacturers, retailers and service businesses. He coordinates the commercial audit practice for BKD’s Springfield, Joplin and Branson offices. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants and Institute of Certified Management Accountants.

Gary serves on the executive committee of Southern Missouri Region of American Red Cross and recently served on the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce as chair of The Network for Springfield young professionals. Gary is a 1996 graduate of the Honors College at Missouri State University, Springfield, with a B.S. degree in accounting and a minor in computer information systems.


Greg DeGood

Greg DeGood is a Certified Public Accountant for Decker & DeGood which provides tax, accounting and business consulting services to various businesses and individuals in South West Missouri. Greg has a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Missouri and is a licensed CPA. Greg is a Boy Scout Troop leader and is the Treasurer for the Glendale Wrestling Booster Club. He a member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA), and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Greg enjoys cycling, running, fishing, boating water skiing and golfing.
