Community Foundation Presents Check to Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks (BCFO) for Challenge Grant
SPRINGFIELD, MO. – The Community Foundation of the Ozarks presented a check to the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks (BCFO) Board of Directors in response to a challenge grant offered in the fall 2009. These challenge grants were a response to the 2009 Community Focus: A Report for Springfield and Greene County addressing unmet needs in the community. The $25,000 check matched funds already raised by BCFO for the Children’s Fund. BCFO wishes to thank the BCFO donors, the Community Foundation, and the Community Foundation agencies that made these grants possible: The Musgrave Foundation, the Roy W. Slusher Foundation, the Thomas J. Carlson Fund, American Dehydrated Foods, Inc., and The Turner Family Fund.
