About the Tournament

Since the Children’s Charity Invitational began, over $1 million has been generated over a span of nine years for a variety of children’s causes. In 2007, two organizations were the main beneficiaries from the Children’s Charity Invitational, the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks (BCFO) and the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch. Other organizations receiving proceeds include Regional Girls Shelter, Make A Wish Foundation and Heart of the Ozarks Junior Golf Foundation.

The Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks is honored to be a part of this important event that provides services for children in the area. This event continues to be important as the community realizes that breast cancer is a family disease.

The following are only a few examples of the way the Children’s Fund has benefited the families served by the foundation.

The BCFO has provided:

  • Violin lessons for a 12 year old girl to maintain her hobby and some normalcy while facing the emotional strain of her mother's diagnosis.
  • Childcare payments for a single mother of 3, allowing her to continue to work throughout her treatment.
  • Summer camp fees for a 13-year-old girl, whose mother could not afford to pay them this year with her increased medical expenses.
  • Clothing and rent for a very young single mother to keep her 3 children together during her final fight with the disease.

Thank you, Reliable Superstore, Millwood and supporters for helping the BCFO provide this type of assistance to local families.
