“ONE TO ONE”
Mentor Program
SUPPORT FOR NEWLY DIAGNOSED BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS
WHAT IS “ONE TO ONE“?
“One to One” is a support based program where newly diagnosed breast cancer survivors are paired with “veteran” survivors of similar diagnosis and background for friendship and support.
WHAT ARE “ONE TO ONE’S” GOALS?
Our goals are simple….we want to be there for you when you need a friend, or when you need someone who has been down the same road before you, for support. We would like to be your “mentor buddy” as soon after diagnosis as possible.
WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE IN “ONE TO ONE“?
When a woman or man is newly diagnosed, he/she can experience a huge array of emotions. Many times, it is very difficult to know where or who to turn to for support and unconditional understanding. Your “mentor buddy” has been exactly where you are now and may be able to help. Many of us who have experienced a cancer journey similar to yours, wish that there had been someone there for us to relate to in our time of need.
HOW DO I FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THE “ONE TO ONE” PROGRAM?
