Local Resources for Those Affected by Breast Cancer
The Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks provides local resources for those affected by breast cancer, promote breast cancer awareness, and provides resources and support for individuals and their families in the local area who are and have been affected by breast cancer and are concerned with women's health issues.

Thank you to the following local businesses and universities for supporting the BCFO in 2008:

  • Rob Fulp and BancorpSouth for graciously donating a new copier to the BCFO office.  This copier has increased staff productivity and will provide reliable service for years to come!
  • Bryan Altizer and All-Comm Technologies for securing a grant to provide BCFO with a new, state-of-the-art phone system.  Bryan and All-Comm Technologies have provided excellent support to accompany this great new system as well!
  • Evelyn Mangan, Virginia Fry, Shawn Whitney and the law firm of Blackwell Sanders for their gratis work in updating BCFO's bylaws and endowment documents.  This generous donation of time and expertise creates a solid footing for BCFO to build on in years to come.
  • Marc Mayer and the Drury University Alum Basketball Players for choosing BCFO as the beneficiary of their Alumni Basketball Game held Friday, February 1.  The event raised $875 for BCFO.
  • Andrea Alcorn and Gracie's Bridal & Special Occasions for hosting their annual "Pretty in Pink" fashion show on Sunday, February 10, to benefit BCFO.  This event raised $525 for BCFO.
  • Missouri State University Lady Bears and Bears basketball teams for supporting BCFO through the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) "Think Pink" initiative games on Saturday, February 16.  Funds were raised for breast cancer support here in the Ozarks.
  • Drury University Lady Panthers for teaming up with BCFO throughout the month of February to raise funds for breast cancer assistance programs in the Ozarks.  Each steal totaled by the Lady Panthers during a six game stretch will benefit BCFO through fan pledges for every steal.
  • John Lyons, America's most trusted horseman, and SoMo Farm & Ranch Supply Store for supporting BCFO with the proceeds of John Lyons autographed pink hats from the 'Come Meet John Lyons' event in March.
  • McDonald's of the Ozarks Salad Promotion - All 50+ restaurants in the McDonald's of the Ozarks region donated 50 cents to the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks for every Premium Salad sold between June 16 - July 13 with proceeds totaling nearly $20,000.00.
